In 2021, Dr. Huang underwent TransPRK, a type of "lasik" surgery to correct his vision. He wanted to experience the procedure and recovery process to better understand and cater to his patients' concerns and experiences.

TransEpi is an advanced no-touch laser eye procedure used to correct common vision problems such as myopia (short-sightedness), hyperopia (long-sightedness), and astigmatism.
Unlike traditional PRK or LASIK, TransEpi does not involve creating a corneal flap or manually removing surface cells. Instead, a precise laser performs both the surface removal and vision correction in one seamless step.
This makes TransEpi a suitable option for patients who may not be ideal candidates for flap-based laser procedures.
SMILE Pro is a minimally invasive laser vision correction procedure used to treat myopia (short-sightedness) and astigmatism.
Instead of creating a large corneal flap, the laser reshapes the cornea through a small incision. This helps preserve the natural strength of the cornea while correcting vision.
SMILE Pro is often chosen by patients looking for a modern laser option with a smaller incision and faster functional recovery.
ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is a non-laser vision correction option for patients with moderate to high prescriptions or those who are not suitable for laser procedures.
Instead of reshaping the cornea, a biocompatible lens is implanted inside the eye, working together with your natural lens to correct vision. There are minimal changes to the cornea.
ICL implantation is a reversible procedure and is often considered when laser vision correction is not recommended.
